Croquet

We recently acquired the practice of going to the park to play croquet. It's our cheap fun activity. We probably went 5 times in last 10 days or so. We go to a neaby park in Pomona college. Andre loves being there, he sits on the grass, crawls, pulls out wickets, and when we are not watching - shoves leaves and grass into his mouth. Anyway, we have a lot of fun doing it.

Yesterday Andre reached for the container of Cheerios, took off the lid and dumped the whole thing onto the carpet. He would take handfuls at a time and shove them in his mouth. He had plenty of fun, so did I cleaning up after him.

Andre loves his starfish bath toy and doesn't show any interest in any other toys around him

Andre likes to "read" books, especially the touch-and-feel ones with different textures he can touch. Jeff aslo kept putting his baseball hat on him, which Andre would take off otherwise, but he was to involved in reading.

New dance move

Andre learned a new dance move from our friends' daughter Monica. Before, his dance was squatting down a little to the rythm; now - he twists his upper body. Andre was delighted to improve his dancing skills, however Monica stopped doing it after Andre took over - maybe she thought it looked rather silly, at least Andre's rendition of it :)

Silly

Andre loves to take our glasses off. He thinks it's the funniest game. Everytime Andre does it to Jeff, Jeff says "Hey, those are Daddy's glasses!" and Andre gives him the biggest grin and pulls his prized possession further away from him :) This picture is a perfect depiction of such a moment:

As you all know Andre learned how to crawl after he learned how to walk. Well, crawling is not as easy as it might seem and when Andre does it it seems that it takes him all his energy to do so (I guess that's why he only crawls a short distance to the closest object he can use to pull himself up on :)

Having fun with Grandparents

We went out to a nice Italian restaurant in Claremont Village on Friday night.

Jeff is being silly (does that surprise anyone??)

We had a lot of fun miniature golfing on Thursday night. Andre was quite upset they didn't have baby-sized golf clubs, but the golf balls were just the right size to play with.

The grandparents arrived for Jeff's graduation and we went out to eat to a restaurant in Claremont village. Grandpa was being silly and was pulling funny faces - scrunchy faces. Andre thought it was funny and decided to do it back.
