Comparison

Here are the pictures of Harper and Andre at about the same age (Andre is a week older). I think they look very much alike. See what you think. (Harper is on the left, Andre on the right)

First Days Home

On our way home from the hospital. I hate the fact that you have to sit in the wheelchair - I'm not handicapped!

Though Andre has been surprisingly good to his little brother, we did get him a doll. He can push it in the stroller for hours. He also likes to immitate me and everything I do with Harper. It's really cute.

More pictures of Harper

Andre got to meet his little brother today. He seemed to be a little confused at first, but then warmed up to Harper. He kept saying Harper over and over, and while I was trying to nurse him, Andre kept peeking under the nursing cover and saying his name. What cute boys we have!!!?

Our little family has grown by two feet

Welcome to the World Harper Chalmers Johnson!

Harper has joined our family today on April 22nd at 10:25 am. He weighed in at 7 lbs 13 oz and was 20.5 inches long. He received 9's on the Apgar scale and is a very healthy little boy. I am feeling well as well.

Maybe not so much tennis, but gymnastics...

Andre really is becoming more and more advanced in his physical abilities, which is quite impressive (at least to me). The other day my parents and I went to the mall, and my Dad stayed outside with Andre near the ramp with the railing. I came out to Andre hanging off the rail while saying monkey and swinging back and forth. What a strong little kid! Now, that I think about it, I don't really want Andre to be a gymnast, but I can just picture him hanging off the rim after a sweet slam dunk - Jayhawks, here comes your star recruit. :)

Andre...is it in the name?

Since our boy does share his name with the great tennis player (Andre Agassi) we decided to start on his tennis career early and expect him to be no worse than his namesharing star (no pressure, sweetie). It's pretty amazing how coordinated Andre is for his age, he actually managed to hit the ball a few times. He also enjoyed chasing after the balls, especially if someone else was using them, pounding the court with his raquet, or sword fighting - yes it will be a while for him to get a hang of it, but we are keeping our hopes high! :)

Working on hitting the ball

Nice stance - he's a natural

Playing with Grandma - and yes, the big raquet is more satisfying

Well, actully, two raquets are just right

Very Prego

For those interested- here's a picture of very prego huge me. I am soooo ready to be done with this whole pregnancy thing! Good thing I have only 2 weeks left, I don't think I can survive much longer in such a state. Andre is sure sensing the change to a 'slow me' and uses it to his advantage any second he gets, which also adds to my list of the never ending chores. I can't wait to see what he'll try to pull off while I am trying to nurse the baby.38 weeks and counting down
Andre kept running up to me and tried to squeeze into every picture

so here's one just of him
